In 1991, I met (my husband) Garry, who was just briefly anchored in Santa Barbara - one of many ports mapped on his “around the world” sailing adventure. Well, I certainly wasn’t on the map, but we soon fell in love ~ and I with the romance of sailing! At that time, as a mother of two small children, my commitments lay on land, not at sea. So, Garry tied up his boat and tied the knot with me (!) becoming a landlubber once again. Now, years later, the kids have grown so we sold our home and fulfilled our dream : to live full-time on our sailboat Sugar.

Soon it was time to learn the ropes and adapt to our new lifestyle. When I was first referred to as a “boat woman”, I knew there had to be a better moniker - along with a better sense of fashion! (I’d seen enough logos of lighthouses, and big fish to sink a ship). This industry needed new life and a new look! Hence, Yachtie-Girl™ came about!

Today, I offer active yachtie-girls, both far and near, the same comfortable, stylish, high-quality boating apparel that I sought for myself. From light tees to cozy outerwear, these products have passed my test of approval for boat, in club, beach and beyond!
